The First National Report of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan sets the goal of establishing cooperation with international media organizations, including the Unions of Journalists of countries such as India, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan.
As part of the implementation of these tasks, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed in Ankara between the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan and the Federation of Journalists of Türkiye (Türkiye Gazeteciler Federasyonu).
At the event organized in this regard, it was recognized that bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye are developing based on stability and friendly relations. An exchange of views took place to ensure the exchange of experience between media representatives of the two countries and organizing joint events.
“Our peoples are united by close ties of friendship and brotherhood, based on a common language and history, similar culture and traditions”, says Kholmurod Salimov, Acting Chairman of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan. “As in all areas, our cooperation is strengthening in journalism. The memorandum signed today states that the delegation’s composition that will be sent to exchange experience will not exceed six people, and the trip will be up to seven days. Each issue is specified in our agreement. Host journalists will cover accommodation costs, meals, internal transport, and translation services for delegation members. The sending party of the media group buys round-trip tickets only. The parties also help each other in issues such as preparing programs.
