On June 7, the National Center of Uzbekistan for Human Rights and Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The signing took place during a roundtable discussion on “Human rights education: the experience of Uzbekistan and Türkiye”, organized in Tashkent as part of the visit of Türkiye’s delegation to Uzbekistan, led by the Chairman of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye Muharrem Kılıç.

The participants exchanged experience in human rights education.

First Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, Director of the National Center for Human Rights Akmal Saidov and Chairman of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye Muharrem Kılıç addressed the event.

The participants were informed about the National Human Rights Education Program.

The event was attended by members of Parliament, representatives of national human rights institutions, higher education and academic institutions.
