A delegation led by Ahmet Gülşen, Head of the General Directorate of Highways (Karayolları Genel Müdürlüğü – KGM), has arrived in Uzbekistan.

Negotiations on cooperation were held at the Committee for Roads of Uzbekistan with the participation of the delegation members. The Committee’s Chairman J. Tursunov and his deputy A. Abdurakhmanov presented information on the country’s road network, its classification, transport corridors, logistics hubs, available equipment, and ongoing work on the construction, reconstruction, and protection of roads and bridges. The parties exchanged views on construction and reconstruction timelines and on procedures for conducting project assessments.

The guests also visited the Center for Analysis of the Technical Condition of Highways and Road Safety.

At the meeting, the visitors were informed about the operation of mobile and stationary weighing systems used to measure the weight of heavy and oversized vehicles traveling on highways, the digitalization process, and the functions of modern diagnostic equipment.
