​The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, together with the Embassy of the country in Turkey, as well as representatives of the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan, has held a virtual roundtable discussion with participation of the heads of travel companies Akikgroup, Hesant, Najd Travel and New Global Group.

At the event, a presentation of the conditions for safe Ziyorat tourism in Uzbekistan took place. The Turkish side was informed about the measures taken in the country in the fight against the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. Issues of further intensification of activities to attract tourists to Uzbekistan were considered. Organizing charter flights in addition to existing regular flights was discussed.

Following the talks, representatives of travel companies who participated in the roundtable discussion expressed particular interest in sending tourists to Uzbekistan within the framework of Ziyorat tourism, as well as their readiness to visit the country in the near future for a detailed discussion of cooperation issues.
