160 years have passed since the establishment of the supreme audit institution of the Republic of Turkey – the Court of Accounts. At the invitation of the Turkish side, the First Deputy Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan B. Turabov took part in the events organized on the occasion of the anniversary.
President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the solemn ceremony in Ankara. He called the Court of Accounts one of the pillars of the rule of law, which plays an important role in the Turkish public administration system.
Following the talks, the First Deputy Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan B. Turabov and the President of the Turkish Court of Accounts Metin Yener signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the supreme audit institutions of the two countries. Taking into account the fact that in recent years, relations between the two states have risen to the level of strategic partnership, the parties noted that the time has come to enhance the format of cooperation.

The participants of the meeting agreed to exchange experience in the methodology and procedures for independent external audit and state financial control, cooperation in professional development and implementation of joint research projects, holding conferences and workshops on the issues of mutual interest.
Officials of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan held meetings with representatives of the supreme audit institutions of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Portugal. The prospects for cooperation with each country were discussed and new tasks were identified based on the national experience in the sphere of public audit and participation in international organizations.
The meetings in Ankara were held in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
