Tashkent hosted Uzbekistan – Turkey business forum during the visit of the Turkish government delegation to Uzbekistan.
According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov, Vice President of Turkey Fuat Oktay, heads of relevant ministries, agencies and industry associations from the Uzbek side, as well as more than 250 businesspeople of the two countries.
Heads of Uzbekistan and Turkey delegations and the heads of the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries addressed the event.
Presentations were made by the heads of ministries, agencies and industry associations. They provided information about the promising projects in energy, tourism, light industry, agriculture, production of building materials, pharmaceuticals, chemical industry and several other areas for further study with Turkish companies.
Following the forum, 25 documents were signed for $679 million, including the implementation of 10 investment projects worth $514.7 million and 15 trade contracts worth $165.2 million.
