Uzbekistan had trade relations with 182 countries last year.
The largest volume of foreign trade turnover was recorded with Russia (17.9%), China (17.7%), Kazakhstan (9.3%), Turkey (8.1%), the Republic of Korea (4.5%), Kyrgyzstan (2.3%) and Turkmenistan (2.1%).
An active foreign trade balance is observed with three states, in particular with Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan among 20 major partner countries of Uzbekistan in foreign economic activity.
Last year, foreign trade turnover reached $42.1 billion, which is more by $5.8 billion compared to the same period in 2020 (an increase of 16%). Exports amounted to $16.6 billion (compared to January-December 2020, an increase of 10% was noted), and imports amounted to $25.5 billion (compared to January-December 2020, an increase of 20.4% was noted). The balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to a passive balance in the amount of -8850,4 million USD.
