This year, Uzbekistan, among 37 other countries, will take part in the Wiki Loves Earth annual international photographic competition. This traditional competition has been held since 2013 every year in May.
Wiki Loves Earth is an annual international photographic competition. Participants take pictures of local natural heritage in their countries and upload them to Wikimedia Commons, a sister project of Wikipedia. For all participating countries there are separate competitions organized by local teams.
The national stage of the competition is organized by Wikimedians of the Uzbek language User Group together with the Russian Wikivoyage community with the support of the Wikimedia Foundation and UNESCO, as well as the Ministry of Natural Resources of Uzbekistan.
This year the competition will be held in two categories: landscapes (including individual trees if they are natural monuments) and macro photography (animals, plants, mushrooms).
Up to 15 winners can be selected locally, with a maximum of 10 from each category. Organizers may decide not to categorize local winners and/or select fewer photos (for example, 10). An international jury will select up to 20 photographs, with a maximum of 10 from each category.
At the international level, no more than two photos from each author will be selected to get into the TOP-20, as our goal is, among other things, a high diversity of the regions represented, natural monuments and authors among the winners.

The winners of the competition will be awarded Wikimedia Foundation vouchers for making purchases in the online store for 8.5 million UZS and valuable prizes from the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
