On 23 February, a trilateral agreement was signed in Tashkent for the implementation of the investment project “Organization of production of solid dosage forms in the form of pills, hard gelatin capsules and dosed powders” with Egypt’s SOLYPHAR.
The joint project will be implemented within the framework of the agreements reached following the official visit of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to Uzbekistan in 2018.
The agreement on the implementation of the investment project was signed by the Deputy Hokim of Tashkent region Jamshid Abdusalomov, the Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry Sardor Kariyev and the President of SOLYPHAR Omar Abdel el-Alem.

Ambassador of Egypt to Uzbekistan Amani al-Itr, Deputy Minister of Health Shokhrukh Sharakhmetov, representatives of ministries and large local pharmaceutical companies attended the signing ceremony.
Director of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry Sardor Kariyev noted that the joint project provides for the construction of a new facility in Tashkent region worth more than $20 million. More than 200 people will be employed. The annual production capacity will be 500 million pills, 200 million capsules and 10 million sachets.
