A meeting between the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov and the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye Mehmet Nuri Ersoy took place in Tashkent.

In recent years, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye has been actively developing, including in culture and art.

“Representatives of Türkiye constantly participate in international events held in Uzbekistan”, said the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov. “In particular, it is noteworthy that the Advisor to the President of Türkiye Yalçın Topçu attended the International Forum of Maqom Art, which was organized in June this year in Zaamin.

At the same time, we are pleased with the fact that musicologists from Türkiye are taking part in the International Music Festival “Sharq Taronalari”, which is taking place these days in Samarkand, and a representative of one of our compatriots is on the jury”.

At the meeting, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy proposed holding Turkish Culture Days in Uzbekistan in 2025.

An agreement was reached on several issues related to further enhancing cooperation in culture and art.
