In order to familiarize with the ongoing work on preparation for this championship and to hold the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Asian Cycling Confederation, a delegation led by the President of the Asian Cycling Confederation Osama Al Shafar arrived in Tashkent.

The Secretary General of Uzbekistan Cycling Federation Kozimkhuja Urinboykhujayev met the distinguished guests at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.

At the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Asian Cycling Confederation, it was emphasized that at the upcoming Asian Championships in Uzbekistan licenses will be drawn to participate in the XXXII Summer Olympic and XVI Paralympic Games 2020 in Tokyo, Japan. Proposals for creating favorable conditions for almost 600 cyclists from 40 countries of the continent, who will arrive to participate in the championship, were considered.

Participants of the meeting of the Executive Committee were provided with information on the state of roads in Tashkent region, conditions in hotels.

It was noted that foreign journalists will arrive in Uzbekistan to cover the Asian Championship, a live broadcast of this championship will be arranged on the world-famous TV channel “Eurosport”.

At the meeting between the Asian Cycling Confederation and UzReport TV channel, an agreement was signed, giving the channel the right to cover the Asian Championship.
