On 1-19 June 2022, Uzbekistan will host the AFC U-23 Asian Cup.

According to the Asian Football Confederation, a complete list of teams that fought for the right to participate in the Asian Cup has been announced. It includes the national teams of Uzbekistan, Australia, UAE, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Qatar, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia, Japan and Iran.
