Uzbekistan to host Naqshbandiya Tourism Festival
On October 31 – November 7, 2019, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala-Lumpur will host the Second Naqshbandiya Tourism Festival, organized by the World Sufi Center (Malaysia).
On October 31 – November 7, 2019, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala-Lumpur will host the Second Naqshbandiya Tourism Festival, organized by the World Sufi Center (Malaysia).
The event is aimed at recognizing the merits of the great scientists of Uzbekistan in development of Islam and world civilization, as well as visiting holy places and performing religious ceremonies within the framework of pilgrimage tourism.
The festival is expected to be attended by more than 250 followers of Naqshbandiya sufi tariqat from around the world, in particular from Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, China, India, Australia, the United States, South Africa and other countries.
The festival includes tours to such shrines as Hazrat Bakhauddin Naqshband, Hazrat Abdukholik Gijduvani, Khoja Mahmud Anjir Faghnawi memorial complexes, Khoja Orif Rewgari, Said Amir Kulol tombs, Mir Arab Madrasah and Kalon Mosque in Bukhara, Imam al-Bukhari, Khoja Ahrar, Imam Abu Mansur al-Maturidi memorial complexes, visit to Shakhi Zinda architectural complex, Registan Square and Ulugbek Observatory in Samarkand, as well as Imam Termizi Complex in Termez.
