Starting 2022, an International Pottery Forum and Fair will be held in Uzbekistan every two years in September. The event includes scientific-practical conferences, competitions, presentations, fairs, theatrical concert entertainment, cultural enlightenment and promotion programs.

Forum participants can visit exhibitions of pottery objects, demonstrations of their manufacturing processes, get acquainted with ancient pottery devices and products, art and documentary films, photographs, books and albums about pottery. The forum is to be organized under the International Handicrafters Festival, held in Kokand every two years in September.

By the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On holding the International Pottery Forum and Fair” of August 23, 2021, the first forum will be held in September 2022 in Fergana region’s Rishtan district during the II International Handicrafters Festival in Kokand. 

The event will be attended by representatives of museum stores, souvenir trade networks, international buyers and well-known collectors. The artistic examination of handicrafts and memorable gifts, for the export of which it is required to be carried out abroad in accordance with the legislation, will be held on the day of their purchase directly at the event venues without charging a fee.

It is expected that large-scale shows and presentations will be held during the forum. It is planned to involve professional screenwriters and directors, writers and poets, artisans, production designers and artists.
