Uzbekistan gets ready for the Asian U22 Boxing Championships.

The official opening ceremony will take place on January 22. The draw will take place on January 21.

Boxers from Kazakhstan, as well as national teams from India and Thailand, will not participate in the championships. Teams of Saudi Arabia and Japan are preparing for the tournament.

According to Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, the men’s team of the country was trained by coaches led by Tulqin Qilichev, and the women’s team – by experienced specialists Lochin Kochkarov and Elshod Rasulov.

Nearly 200 boxers from 20 countries of the continent are expected to take part in the championships. Men will compete in 13 weight categories and women in 12 weight categories.
