Uzbekistan will host the Silk Uzbekistan Fashion Week starting this year.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to significantly increase the flow of foreign tourists to the republic and further enhance domestic tourism”, it will be held once every two years – in the third week of May. 

It is planned to attract leading fashion houses of the world to participate in the Week, which will participate in a competition to produce modern clothes from silk fabrics of Uzbekistan. 

The prize fund of Silk Uzbekistan Fashion Week will be $2 million.
