Uzbekistan to establish a single electronic portal of the country’s transport system

Large-scale activities are being carried out in the transport sector of Uzbekistan in order to develop tourism. Thus, transport infrastructure facilities are being repaired and constructed in all regions of the country.
In accordance with the Decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On additional measures for accelerated development of tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan” of January 5, 2019, the National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with other interested ministries and agencies, was given instructions on creating a single electronic portal of the transport system of the country on the basis of public-private partnership, providing for the sale of bus, air and rail travel tickets with convenient connecting flights.
According to the Decree, the new portal will be based on the blockchain technology, which will ensure the reliability and transparency of its operation.
