Uzbekistan to chair CIS Foreign Ministers Council meeting

The meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS member states, within the framework of Uzbekistan’s chairmanship in the Commonwealth, will take place on December 10, via videoconference.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov will be attended by the heads of foreign ministries of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as the Chairman of the Executive Committee – CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev.

At the event, views will be exchanged on the results achieved and new priorities for interaction within the Commonwealth, international and regional issues. Draft documents planned for signing at the upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of CIS Member States will be discussed.
