The event is organized by Potato Producers Association.

The main purpose of holding the International Potato Day is further development of potato production, expanding cooperation with foreign countries where potato production is developed, raising skills of farm workers specializing in seed production. This large-scale event in agriculture will bring together specialists of Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector with foreign partners to exchange experience and demonstrate scientific and technological achievements.

Workshops, an exhibition and a cooperation exchange with participation of representatives of scientific-research institutes, manufacturers of agricultural equipment, climatic equipment for storing vegetables, suppliers of plant protection products will be held within the framework of the event. The opening ceremony of the first plant in Uzbekistan for production of semi-finished potato products will also take place. Representatives of large farms and guests from the CIS and Europe countries are also among the participants.

Visitors will become acquainted with potatoes growing and processing.
