Director of the Agency for the Development of Pharmaceutical Industry Sardor Koriyev has met with the U.S. Scientist, Immunologist, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Peter Ignatov.

Leading specialists from Tashkent Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums and the Agency for the Development of Pharmaceutical Industry also attended the meeting.

An American scientist spoke about the past clinical trials of highly effective developments that can be used by the infected with COVID-19 in the first stage of the treatment. Views were exchanged on promising projects that can be implemented together with the research institute. Mr. Peter Ignatov proposed to establish in Uzbekistan the production of drugs for the treatment of HIV infection and other medicines in high demand in Uzbekistan.

“Production of biotechnological preparations yields results in developed countries”, S. Koriyev says. – The pharmaceutical industry of Uzbekistan is aimed at the gradual development of this area.
