23:00 / 2025-12-11

A presentation of the book “Uzbekistan: The Third Renaissance – The Concept of the Future” by Pakistani writer and journalist Muhammad Abbas Khan was held at the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi.

The event was attended by representatives of the government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan, ministries and agencies, non-governmental organizations, mass media, the diplomatic corps, as well as figures of science, culture, art, and literature.

Khayriddin Sultanov, Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, spoke in detail about the fundamental transformations underway in the country at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, particularly in the spiritual and educational spheres, as well as about the international recognition of the rapid progress of New Uzbekistan. The author conveyed these changes with great sincerity, realism, and objectivity.

The book, written in an artistic and journalistic style in Urdu in 2025, is authored by Muhammad Abbas Khan, the special correspondent for the Daily Ittehad newspaper of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, covering Uzbekistan and the Central Asian countries. The work presents Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s initiative to lay the foundation for the Third Renaissance as a large-scale project of transformation grounded in values such as cooperation, peace, and dialogue, and as a timeless, enduring idea.

In the foreword, Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif notes that the book is “a study and reflection on the future development of human civilization”. The preface emphasizes: “This book helps to gain a deeper understanding of the initiative of my dear friend, His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to create the foundation of the Third Renaissance in Uzbekistan. This great idea, grounded in the spiritual heritage of the illustrious ancestors of the Uzbek people, will undoubtedly serve the future of all humanity”.

Pakistan’s Prime Minister expressed confidence that Uzbekistan’s experience will inspire Pakistan toward future transformations and noble endeavors. The book highlights the importance of the East in shaping humanity’s future, the values of enlightenment and global humanism, and its contribution to the realization of ambitious plans. This reflects the high recognition by the government and people of Pakistan of the President of Uzbekistan’s ideas and global initiatives to strengthen cooperation and security among nations.

The author views President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s words, “A good deed begins with a good intention”, as the philosophical foundation of the entire work. Indeed, genuine change begins with a sincere desire to serve good and justice.

The book presents numerous historical facts illustrating the more than three-thousand-year path of development of Uzbek statehood.

The book’s first presentation took place in October this year in Islamabad. The event was attended by representatives of the Office of the President and the government of Pakistan, prominent political scientists and scholars, analysts, and media representatives.

It was emphasized that the book can serve not only as a source of mutual understanding but also as a key to a deeper comprehension of the reforms currently being implemented in the country.

According to Pakistani political figures and academic experts, the ideas and conclusions presented by Muhammad Abbas Khan are highly valued not only in Pakistan but also in Europe and other regions worldwide.

The book has also been published in Uzbek.

“I have been living in Uzbekistan for many years”, says Muhammad Abbas Khan. “The rapid reforms taking place in this country inspire me. Uzbekistan is witnessing large-scale positive changes, and they are already yielding results. These reforms are recognized not only within the country but also beyond its borders”.

The event was attended by Sherzod Asadov, Head of the Communications Department of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan and Press Secretary to the President.
