Belt Wrestling World Championship is being held in Jizzakh.

Within the framework of this championship, Jizzakh regional Hokimiyat hosted a meeting with participation of representatives of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, regional Hokimiyat and media.

The parties informed participants about the ongoing work on the development of mass sports, training of sports masters and athletes of international class, popularization of sports among women.

A Memorandum of Cooperation in physical culture and sports was signed between Jizzakh regional Hokimiyat and the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan.

It should be noted that the signed memorandum is aimed at strengthening friendship between peoples, further developing cooperation in youth policy, physical culture and sports.

The partners also plan to annually hold international belt wrestling championships in Jizzakh region and Tatarstan.
