Investment and trade agreements worth $11 million were signed between Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan and Sughd region of Tajikistan. By the end of this year, it is planned to increase this figure to $50 million.

As is known, during a recent official visit to Uzbekistan, representatives of the delegation of Tajikistan, led by President Emomali Rahmon, signed cooperation agreements in industry, culture and art, trade, agriculture and other areas. Cooperation documents were signed between Jizzakh and Sughd regions.

Following the business forum, 12 investment and trade agreements were signed between Jizzakh and Sughd regions.

Jizzakh region put forward proposals for cooperation in three areas – the production of car batteries, glass and textiles.
