Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov has met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sodiq Imomi, in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

The parties exchanged views on the current issues of interaction between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in various fields.

It was noted that bilateral relations have been brought to the level of strategic partnership, interaction is developing along an ascending trajectory, filling with concrete practical content.

The parties discussed international and regional issues, including the situation in Afghanistan, outlined ways of developing cooperation in promising areas.
