A delegation led by the Acting First Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Davron Sultanov visited Sweden.
The visit was organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Stockholm. Meetings were also held with the leadership of the Swedish Ministry of Health, Swecare, E-Health, Medical Products agencies, Karolinska Institute, Solgren University and Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital, Lulea University of Technology, AstraZeneca, Elekta and Getinge companies.
The Swedish side was informed of the development of Uzbekistan’s healthcare system and its plans for the future. In addition, presentations were made on the possibilities of the country’s pharmaceutical industry and the potential of the Tashkent Medical Academy.
During the visit, several important agreements were reached regarding introducing modern methods and technologies in treating oncology, cardiovascular diseases, and congenital disabilities in infants, as well as the digitalization of medical and pharmaceutical networks.
