Uzbekistan supports expansion of cooperation with foreign countries

University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a roundtable discussion dedicated to the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Oliy Majlis. Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Development Strategy Center, the Center for Economic Research and Reforms attended the event.
Director of the Information and Analytical Center for International Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan D. Kurbonov, Vice-Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy S. Saidkosimov and others noted that issues of implementation of large-scale democratic transformations and structural reforms aimed at solving strategic tasks for modernization of the country not only this year, but also in the next five years are noted in the Address. It also outlines important initiatives on implementation of an open, pragmatic and deeply thought-out foreign policy that meets national interests in this direction.
Issues of further development and deepening political, trade-economic, investment, transport-communication, cultural-humanitarian ties with Russia, China, the United States, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the European Union and Asian countries were also discussed at the event.
