Uzbekistan strengthens partnership with the United Kingdom in the field of intellectual property
20:19 / 2025-09-30

As part of the visit by the Uzbekistan delegation, led by the Deputy Minister of Justice Muzraf Ikramov, to London, negotiations were held with Adam Williams, Chief Executive of the UK Intellectual Property Office.

The parties discussed the UK’s experience in commercializing intellectual property and implementing the IP Partners, IP Access, and IP Healthcare initiatives. These projects aim to generate additional revenue and combat the circulation of counterfeit products. Opportunities for introducing similar programs in Uzbekistan were also considered.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to implement joint projects. Among these initiatives are the organization of a seminar on assessing damages caused to rights holders and the preparation of proposals for the development of Uzbekistan’s Intellectual Property Strategy for 2027-2030.
