Uzbekistan strengthens its position in the Global Innovation Index

An article titled “Uzbekistan strengthens its position in the Global Innovation Index” has been published on the pages of the famous “China” magazine.

The publication focuses on the task outlined in the Development Strategy of the New Uzbekistan, to improve the country’s position in the Global Innovation Index, and enter the top 50 countries of the rating by 2030. To achieve this goal, it is planned to improve Uzbekistan’s position in indicators, according to which the country previously ranked low, create broad opportunities in all areas for implementing innovative projects, and introduce modern mechanisms to support research and innovative initiatives.

The article notes that as a result, over the past few years, Uzbekistan has, for the first time, taken a place in the Global Innovation Index.

It is noted that Uzbekistan leads among the three leading countries in Central and South Asia. According to the results of 2023, Uzbekistan is in 82nd place with an indicator of 26.2. In recent years, Uzbekistan’s economic cooperation with member states of international organizations has created opportunities for further improvement in international rankings. According to the results of the Global Innovation Index 2023, Uzbekistan was among the countries with high efficiency of innovative production.
