The Sixty-Sixth Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of WIPO took place.

The Uzbekistan delegation, led by the Minister of Justice, Akbar Tashkulov, attended the event.

Mr. Tashkulov provided information on the systemic reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in the intellectual property, initiatives to digitalize the industry, and support for innovation. Special attention was paid to measures implemented within the framework of important agreements reached during the official visit of WIPO Director General Daren Tang to Uzbekistan in May this year.

The delegation of the Ministry of Justice held a bilateral meeting with the leadership of the Eurasian Patent Office (EAPO). The activities carried out under the Memorandum of Cooperation signed at the 2024 Session, as well as planned projects, were discussed.

The Minister of Justice A. Tashkulov and EAPO President Grigory Ivliev expressed their readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation, exchange experience in industrial property, and support mutually beneficial initiatives.
