A team of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the Fifth International Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Competition-2022, in Pakistan.
Uzbekistan scouts became the winners of this prestigious competition.
This has been reported by the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense.

The competition was held at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (Pabbi city) of the 22nd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It was attended by 16 teams, including reconnaissance groups from Morocco, Jordan, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Uzbekistan, as well as 8 groups from Pakistan.
Representatives of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Bahrain and China observed the process of the competition.
According to the conditions of the competition, on a route 80 kilometers long, the teams acted in azimuth and at 6 control units showed their skills in shooting competitions, special tactical and medical training, protection against weapons of mass destruction, performing various special tasks in military topography, as well as by solving unexpected tests.

The team of military personnel of Uzbekistan distinguished itself by cohesion and a high level of fulfillment of assigned tasks. This was manifested in individual competitions held in such specialties as a radiotelephone operator, engineer, sniper and paramedic of the group, where Uzbekistan scouts showed the best result.
It should be noted that the team of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, according to the draw, started its performance from the first checkpoint only 10th, despite this, having shown courage and willpower, reached the third checkpoint with a 6-hour margin from the rest of the teams and received the highest scores – 2,850.
Following the competition, the physical and professional training of Uzbekistan representatives was noted. The actions of Uzbekistan military personnel in making non-standard decisions in extreme situations were highly appreciated.

Competition results:
1st place – the team of the Republic of Uzbekistan (2,850 points);
2nd place – the team of Morocco (1,860 points);
3rd place – the teams of Sri Lanka (2010 points) and Saudi Arabia (1900 points).
At the solemn closing ceremony of the competition, the national team of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan was awarded gold medals.
