On 8-12 January, Almaty hosted the 17th International Zhautykov Olympiad in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science among schoolchildren.

14 schoolchildren from Uzbekistan won one gold, two silver and 11 bronze medals at the Olympiad. They won six medals at last year's Olympiad.

International Zhautykov Olympiad is attended by talented schoolchildren from different countries with deep knowledge.

This year, 1006 participants consisting of 146 teams from 21 countries showed their knowledge at the Olympiad. 10 teams from Uzbekistan took part in this intellectual competition.
