Uzbekistan’s pension system to be further improved
On October 24, Tashkent hosted a workshop on “Improvement of pension system of the Republic of Uzbekistan” with participation of representatives of Financial Research Institute of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.
Within the framework of bilateral cooperation program between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, on October 24, a workshop was held on “Improvement of pension system of the Republic of Uzbekistan” with participation of representatives of Financial Research Institute of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.
At the workshop, Director of Financial Research Institute of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation Vladimir Nazarov, Head of the Center for Macroeconomic Research, Head of the FRI expert group Samvel Lazaryan, as well as the Executive Director of Extra-Budgetary Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Yorkin Tursunov delivered speeches.
The conference was attended by representatives and responsible employees of the Financial Research Institute of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Extra-Budgetary Pension Fund, Banking and Finance Academy faculty.
Issues of improving pension system of the Republic of Uzbekistan were widely discussed at the conference, main approaches to reformation were considered.
