Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy signs agreements with ACWA Power
The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed two agreements and a memorandum at the amount of almost 2 billion USD with Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power, the developer of energy services for the development of the energy industry.
The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed two agreements and a memorandum at the amount of almost 2 billion USD with Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power, the developer of energy services for the development of the energy industry.
According to the Ministry, the signed documents include a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) worth 1.2 billion USD for development, construction and operation of a combined cycle gas turbine power plant with a capacity of 1,500 MW and an Agreement on implementation of construction of a wind power station with a capacity of 500-1000 MW of clean energy for 0.55-1.1 billion USD.
The parties also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on development of a training center for improving students’ technical skills.
