Uzbekistan’s industrial potential displayed in Kazakhstan

Industrial products from Uzbekistan have a firm place on world markets. Enterprises of this country offer foodstuffs, clothes, building materials, hi-tech modern equipment and other goods. All these products are made in accordance with international standards, and there is great demand for them abroad.
The foundation for supporting small business and private entrepreneurship entities’ exports has said that at the industrial exhibition entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan with the help of this foundation concluded about 20 export agreements to supply Kazakhstan with over 24 million dollars worth of products, including textiles, fruits and vegetables, foodstuffs, furniture and building materials. Visitors at the exhibition familiarized themselves with Uzbekistan’s potential and possibilities in the trade-economic sphere, conditions created for doing business and the foundation’s work and services directed towards raising the export potential of small business and private entrepreneurship entities and giving comprehensive support to their export activity.
At the exhibition, the foundation held bilateral talks with big trading firms and companies of Kazakhstan. Kazakh entrepreneurs noted the high quality of products made in Uzbekistan and expressed interest in initiating long-term relations with Uzbek companies. Specifically, as a result of the talks, an agreement was reached with the Kazakh company Agromaks Astana on initiating the distribution of canned pilau in Kazakhstan and on purchasing canned and dried fruits and vegetables produced in Uzbekistan. Representatives of the Darkhan Grup company (Kazakhstan) expressed interest in establishing direct partnership relations with Uzbek manufacturers in order to buy special clothes, building gloves and cables.
The foundation for supporting small business and private entrepreneurship entities’ exports has signed a number of memoranda of understanding with such establishments as the Kazakhexport export insurance company and the Kazakh national agency for export and investment Kaznex Invest JSC. These documents provide for the further intensification of trade-economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan through arranging the supply of Uzbek goods to Kazakhstan’s market, the financing of economic projects, the creation of joint ventures in Uzbekistan, and such events as business forums and cooperative exchanges, participation in exhibitions and trade fairs and the conducting of market research.
The agreements reached within the framework of Uzbekistan’s national industrial exhibition in Kazakhstan will help to further increase exports, to expand the geography of exports and to raise this country’s economic potential.
