The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia has taken part in the exhibition and conference on Development of E-Commerce in Puchong town of the Malaysian state of Selangor.

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia has taken part in the exhibition and conference on Development of E-Commerce in Puchong town of the Malaysian state of Selangor.

The exhibition was attended by representatives of about 50 companies interested in selling their products through electronic trading platforms.

Uzbekistan’s diplomatic mission has organized a presentation of the tourism potential, cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan with provision of information on measures taken by the Government of the country to actively promote the tourism image as a safe for tourists’ health in the country under the slogan “Uzbekistan – Safe Travel Guarenteed”, as well as support for enterprises in tourism to reduce the negative impact of the pandemic.

Following the negotiations, agreements were reached on organizing a visit to Uzbekistan of representatives of about 50 Malaysian industrial and commercial enterprises led by the Director of the Consumption Union company to study the possibility of implementing joint promising investment projects and discuss the organization of the supply of Uzbekistan fruits and vegetables and textile products to Malaysia. The parties also agreed to hold a similar exhibition in Uzbekistan with participation of Malaysian companies and consider the possibility of organizing visits of tourist groups from Malaysia to Uzbekistan.
