Tashkent hosts meetings of specialized committees of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Economic Cooperation Organization. The organizer of events is the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

Within three days, five such meetings are planned to be held in Tashkent. Representatives of nine countries will discuss important issues of economic development and international cooperation.

The events are being attended by representatives of chambers of commerce, ministries and agencies, entrepreneurs of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

On the first day of the program, meetings of the Business Women’s Association and Committees on Tourism and Transport, the Arbitration Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Economic Cooperation Organization were held. Leading local and foreign economists, lawyers and entrepreneurs shared experience of their countries in development of such areas as trade, tourism, transport, small business and private entrepreneurship.

Meetings of Committees on Industry and Investment, Small and Private Business Development, and Trade Facilitation will be held on the second day of the program. On the same day, a presentation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of member countries of the Organization of Economic Cooperation will also be held. They will present the economic potential and investment opportunities of their countries, inform about measures being taken for supporting the private sector.

The final event of the program will become the 25th meeting of the Executive Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Organization of Economic Cooperation. Important issues of international economic cooperation and current global trends will be discussed at the meeting.
