On December 26, as part of the informal CIS Summit in Saint Petersburg, a meeting was held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Particular attention was paid to implementing the agreements reached following the high-level visit to Russia on October 5-7 this year.

The importance of close interdepartmental coordination and practical interaction was noted to maintain trade growth dynamics and promote promising cooperation projects, including at the regional level of the two states.

Views were also exchanged on the regional agenda.
