Business forum of entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Russia was held within the framework of the Days of Chelyabinsk region, continuing in Uzbekistan.

Heads of ministries and departments, companies of the two countries responsible for oil and gas, mining, food, chemical, light industry, mechanical engineering, healthcare attended the event.

The business forum was aimed at increasing mutual trade turnover through the fuller use of transport and communication opportunities and transit potential of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation, strengthening cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan A.Ikramov, Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region of the Russian Federation B.Dubrovsky and others noted the consistent development of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, importance of this event in raising relations the trade, economic, investment and social spheres to a new level.

At the forum, Russian entrepreneurs were provided with information about the economic potential of Uzbekistan, the reforms being implemented, prospects for investment, factors for development of small business and private entrepreneurship. Joint projects and their results implemented with cooperation of entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan and Chelyabinsk region were considered.

Within the framework of the visit, a presentation dedicated to the created conditions for investors in two countries, manufactured products, tax and customs privileges, and available economic opportunities was held.

A number of agreements aimed at further development of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between the business communities of the two countries were signed.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Otajonov addressed the business forum.

On the same day, the delegation visited the international exhibition "Global Oil and Gas Uzbekistan 2018", in Uzexpocentre. They got acquainted with the activity of Tashkent enterprises "Gold Dried Fruits" and "Artel".
