As part of the 17th meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the SCO Member States, a meeting was held with Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev.
The delegations exchanged views on a wide range of regional security issues, as well as touched upon several aspects of the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation, including through law enforcement agencies, military and military-technical cooperation.

The importance of the mechanism of meetings of the Secretaries of the SCO Security Councils and its importance in coordinating joint efforts to ensure security in the space of the Organization, including in Afghanistan, was noted.
The parties confirmed their commitment to constructive interaction, their determination to deepen cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in security by strengthening the legal framework and developing bilateral interaction mechanisms.
