Uzbekistan delegation attended the 24th FIGO World Congress of Gynecology and Obstetrics. It took place in Paris on October 9-12.
More than 8 thousand delegates from more than 130 countries participated in this leading and largest global event this year. From Uzbekistan, it was attended by specialists from the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health, chairmen, and members of the board of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Uzbekistan.
“One of the priority directions of the state policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in healthcare is protecting the health of mothers and children, strengthening the population’s reproductive health, increasing the availability of medical care, and developing scientific and human resources potential. Several government programs are being implemented aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. In this regard, the country’s specialists are constantly studying the best international practices, which this congress contributes to”, notes Natalya Nadirkhanova, board member of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Uzbekistan.
At the conference, almost 500 experts shared their best practices, discussions took place in five parallel sessions, and public events were held where experts could communicate and exchange opinions.
