Uzbekistan representatives take part in the work of the Expert Group for the creation of the CIS Human Rights Commission

The 5th meeting of the Expert Group on the creation of the CIS Human Rights Commission was held via videoconference.

According to the Commonwealth Executive Committee, the meeting was attended by representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee.

The key issue on the agenda of the meeting was the consideration by the experts of the CIS member states of the draft Regulations on the CIS Human Rights Commission.

The participants discussed several proposals from countries in terms of determining the procedure for considering applications to the Commission, making decisions by the Commission and other issues regulating its activities.

The participants of the meeting decided to continue joint work on the preparation of the draft Regulations and hold the next meeting of the Expert Group on March 17 in Minsk.
