On December 21, the 40th Congress of the International Handball Federation kicked off in Cairo.

Secretary General of the Handball Federation of Uzbekistan, Ismail Mathalikov, and the Head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, Ulugbek Ikromov, are taking part in this prestigious event devoted to the development of handball in the world and the results of championships.

At the event, the 2026 competition calendar will be reviewed, and candidates for various IHF positions are expected to be elected.
