Shanghai, China, hosted the Mobile World Congress (MWC Shanghai 2024).
Uzbekistan delegation led by Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Jamol Makhsudov visited the Huawei stand, which actively cooperates with Uzbekistan.
The stand presented opportunities for the commercial launch of 5G-advanced networks and innovations for deploying such networks and devices with artificial intelligence.


Huawei experts demonstrated how the commercial launch of 5G-A networks and devices with artificial intelligence will help distribute intelligent services, accelerate the digital transformation of vertical industries, influence content creation, and shape prospects for the mobile industry.

After the visit to the exhibition area, talks were held with Huawei representatives, and issues of the current development of mobile networks in Uzbekistan and plans for further implementation of the “Digital Uzbekistan 2030” strategy were discussed. Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Jamol Makhsudov appreciated Huawei’s contribution to strengthening and developing the ICT infrastructure in Uzbekistan and emphasized the importance of further joint activities to introduce advanced technologies. The parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate in developing domestic coverage networks.
In addition to the delegation of representatives of government agencies and telecom operators, the Huawei stand was visited by students from Uzbekistan who took part in the China Digital Exploration Tour. At the stand, students learned about innovations and held talks with the Vice President for the Middle East and Central Asia region, Mr. Wang Shunli.
