16 units of high-quality Japan-made road repair equipment will be supplied in rural areas of Syrdarya, Jizzakh, Khorezm regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

This grant is provided under Japan’s Economic and Social Development Programme in the amount of 800 million Japanese yen (about $7.3 million).

The Ambassador of Japan to Uzbekistan Yoshinori Fujiyama and Deputy Minister of Transport, Chairman of the State Committee for Roads Abdurahmon Abduvaliyev took part in the ceremony of transferring the equipment.

The list of road repair equipment includes two road stabilizers, two vibrating single drum rollers, three vibrating tandem rollers and four pneumatic tire rollers.
