Uzbekistan pursues a pragmatic and active foreign policy

The Development Strategy Center hosted a roundtable discussion on “New pragmatic and active foreign policy of Uzbekistan”.

The event was attended by experts from the Development Strategy Center, the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, Information and Analytical Center for International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Institute for Central Asia and international researchers.

Participants discussed the issues of increasing the role of Uzbekistan in international relations, joining the ranks of developed democratic states, creating an atmosphere of security, stability and good-neighborliness.

Reports were heard on the role of Uzbekistan in shaping the regional order in Central Asia, development of trade and economic relations of Uzbekistan with the countries of the world, the regional policy of Uzbekistan, ensuring regional security and stable development, cooperation of Uzbekistan with the European Union.
