On January 19-23, several national travel companies of Uzbekistan – Dolores Travel Group, El Mundo Travel, Avrud Travel took part in the International Tourism Fair FITUR-2022, in Spain.

The FITUR is the first largest event in the world in tourism. Representatives of all segments of the tourism industry, more than 10 thousand exhibiting companies from 165 countries – tour operators, travel agencies, hotels, carriers, tourism offices, service companies take part in it.

Within the framework of FITUR-2022, with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Madrid, a presentation of the tourism potential of the country was held, which was attended by representatives of relevant ministries of Spain, travel companies, the media and the public.

At the event, the participants were provided with information about the cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan, tourism opportunities, infrastructure and the level of hotel services, recreation areas.

The participants of the event noted that in the new program of economic modernization of the country, initiated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, much attention is paid to the development of the tourism industry. It was emphasized that today Uzbekistan is taking unprecedented measures to turn tourism into a powerful tool for sustainable economic growth and modernization of the country. Despite the difficult situation associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, as part of the new tourism development concept, several programs and projects are being implemented to introduce modern innovative technologies and methods for developing the tourism industry, providing services, creating tourist zones, and building new hotels.
