A group of experts led by Sardor Kariyev, Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, met with USAID representatives in Rockville, United States.

According to the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, at the meeting with several employees of the U.S. Agency for International Development and with specialists from the PQM+ project, the parties discussed the current issues of cooperation in organizing the work of local pharmaceutical enterprises based on international GMP standards, technical assistance for laboratories for the preparation of medical devices, metrological laboratories, education in the pharmaceuticals and management.

Following the meeting, the parties noted the importance of the exchange of experience and mutual support in training personnel for the pharmaceutical industry.
