Uzbekistan – Pakistan think tanks strengthen partnership

The ISRS hosted meetings with Pakistani experts who arrived in Uzbekistan as international observers for the Early Presidential Election.

The talks were attended by the Director of the School of Politics and International Relations at Quaid-i-Azam University Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, President of the Eurasian Century Institute İrfan Shahzad Takalvi and Executive Director of the Center for South Asia and International Studies Dr. Mehmood Ul Hassan Khan.

Pakistani experts highly appreciated the organization of the preparation and conduction of the elections. They noted the positive domestic political situation in the country, as well as the activity of citizens in voting.

A wide range of issues related to regional security, economic cooperation, and cultural exchange between Pakistan and Uzbekistan were discussed at the meetings.

Speaking about the situation in Afghanistan and its potential impact on regional security, the participants stressed the importance of a coordinated approach to solving security problems in the region and ensuring stability.

In general, the meetings were held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, reflecting a common desire to deepen the partnership and explore new areas of cooperation between ISRS and the think tanks of Pakistan.
