Uzbekistan, Pakistan are firmly committed to enhancing collaboration in security
A meeting was held with the National Security Division Secretary of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Aamir Hasan within the framework of the 17th meeting of the SCO Security Council Secretaries.
Current issues on the regional agenda were considered, including the Afghan problem, the state and prospects of interaction in security, military and military-technical cooperation.
Separately, the need for strengthening cooperation within the framework of Uzbekistan – Pakistan Joint Commission on Security, which is an effective mechanism for coordinating the interaction between the security forces of the two countries, was emphasized.
A firm commitment was confirmed to enhance practical interaction in countering existing and new challenges, realizing the untapped potential of bilateral cooperation, including through the exchange of experience on addressing priority issues of strengthening security and stability.
