Delegations were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Furkat Sidikov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa al-Harithy.

Current aspects of Uzbekistan – Oman relations, as well as interaction within international structures were discussed at the meeting.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to the issues of expanding cooperation in cultural and humanitarian sphere. Interest was expressed in the implementation of joint projects in the research and educational fields.

The parties also exchanged views on improving the legal framework of bilateral cooperation, agreed to form a working group with participation of representatives of the involved ministries and agencies of the two countries to quickly resolve issues in this area.
